Car
From Hamamat Ma'in, head south on the main road towards Ma'in. Continue straight until you reach the junction where you can turn onto the Desert Highway (Route 15). Turn left onto Route 15 and head south for approximately 60 kilometers. Follow the signs for Wadi Rum, and take the exit onto Route 30 towards Wadi Rum. Keep following the signs for Wadi Rum Protected Area. There is a small entrance fee of 5 JOD per person to enter the protected area.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To travel by public transport, first make your way to the nearest bus station in Madaba, which is the closest city to Hamamat Ma'in. From Madaba, take a bus to Aqaba, which will take around 2-3 hours. Once in Aqaba, find a local bus or taxi that goes to Wadi Rum. It's essential to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver beforehand, as prices can vary. The total cost for the bus trip from Madaba to Wadi Rum may be around 10-15 JOD depending on the service.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, consider hiring a taxi from Hamamat Ma'in to Wadi Rum. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. You can negotiate a flat rate with the driver; expect to pay around 50-70 JOD for the trip, but prices may vary based on the season and time of day. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
