If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Ma'an Plateau. Head south on Route 15 and follow the signs toward Petra. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn right onto a smaller road that leads to Uum Sayhoun. Continue on this road for about 9 kilometers. You will reach the parking area near The Monastery trailhead. Be sure to pay any parking fees, which may vary but generally range from 1 to 3 Jordanian Dinars.

Public Transportation
To use public transportation, take a bus from Ma'an to Petra, which runs frequently throughout the day. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Petra, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the entrance of the Petra Archaeological Park. The cost for a taxi ride is around 5 Jordanian Dinars. After entering the park, follow the signs to The Monastery, which is approximately a 45-minute hike uphill from the main entrance. Be prepared for the entrance fee to the park, which is around 50 Jordanian Dinars for a one-day ticket.
