From the center of Ma'an, head east on King Abdullah II Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the main entrance to Wadi Musa. Once you arrive at Wadi Musa, follow the signs towards the Petra archaeological site. The Great Temple is located within the Petra complex, so make sure to purchase your entrance ticket at the visitor center before proceeding into the site. After entering, follow the path signs towards the Great Temple, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the entrance.
Taxi
If you prefer a faster option, you can take a taxi from Ma'an to Wadi Musa. You can find taxis at various points in Ma'an, especially near the main market area. Negotiate a fare with the driver (typically around 10-15 Jordanian Dinars for the ride). Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, ask the driver to drop you off at the Petra visitor center. From there, follow the signs to the Great Temple, which is about a 20-minute walk inside the archaeological site.
Public Transportation
You can take a public minibus from Ma'an to Wadi Musa. Buses typically depart from the main bus station in Ma'an, located near the city center. Look for a minibus heading to Wadi Musa and board it (the fare is approximately 2 Jordanian Dinars). Once you arrive in Wadi Musa, make your way to the Petra visitor center. The Great Temple is accessible by walking from the visitor center, following the path signs.
