If you are in the center of Ma'an, start at the Ma'an Bus Station. From there, head southeast on the main street (Al-Maqdisi Street) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Shobak Road (Route 15). Continue walking for about 7 kilometers along this road. You will pass through a few small villages. Look out for signs pointing towards Shobak Castle. The castle is situated on a hilltop and is visible from a distance. As you approach Shobak, you will see the castle entrance on your right. The entire walk should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Ma'an to Shobak Castle. You can find taxis near the Ma'an Bus Station or ask your hotel to arrange one for you. Make sure to agree on a fare beforehand. The ride typically takes about 30 minutes. Just tell the driver 'Shobak Castle' or show them the address 'GHJ6+H84, Shobak'. The taxi will drop you off at the entrance of the castle.

You can also take a bus from Ma'an to Shobak. Head to the Ma'an Bus Station and look for buses heading towards Shobak or Kerak. The bus ride should take about 30 to 45 minutes. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at Shobak Castle. Once you arrive in Shobak, walk towards the castle; it will be visible from the bus stop. Follow the signs pointing to the castle, which is about a 15-minute walk from there.
