Start at the Ma'an bus station. From the bus station, head northeast on Al-Ma'an Street towards King Abdullah II Street. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach a T-junction. Turn left onto King Abdullah II Street, and walk for another 1 kilometer. You will see signs pointing towards Petra. Follow the signs as you continue walking straight, and after about 2 kilometers, you will reach the entrance of Petra.

From the Ma'an city center, look for a local bus heading to Petra. Buses leave regularly, and the fare is inexpensive. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Petra entrance. Once you arrive at the Petra entrance, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers along the designated path leading into the site. After passing through the entrance gates, follow the signs towards The Monastery, which is located at the end of the main walking path.
