If you are starting from the center of Madaba, head north on King Abdullah II Street toward the intersection with the main road. Continue straight until you reach the large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road leading toward Mount Nebo. Walk for about 2 kilometers; you will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Look for signs directing you to the Fortress of Machaerus as you approach the fortress area.
