Walking
From the center of Madaba, start at the Madaba Archaeological Park. Head south on King Abdullah II Street for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Queen Noor Street. Turn left onto Queen Noor Street and continue walking for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for directional signs towards Mount Nebo, as Mar Saba Monastery is in that direction. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach a small bus station. Here, you can catch a local minibus heading towards Mount Nebo. Ask the driver to drop you off at Mar Saba Monastery.
Public Transportation
From the center of Madaba, walk to the local bus station located near the Madaba Archaeological Park. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading towards Mount Nebo. The fare is usually inexpensive (around 1-2 Jordanian Dinars). Inform the driver that you want to visit Mar Saba Monastery. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance from the main road to the monastery itself, which is well-signposted.
