Walking
From the center of Mafraq, head south on Al-Shuhada Street towards the Al-Hussein Mosque. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Al-Jazeera Street. Walk along Al-Jazeera Street for approximately 1.5 kilometers, then turn left onto Al-Ma'een Street. Follow Al-Ma'een Street until it becomes Al-Hussein Street. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach the main bus station in Mafraq. From there, take a public bus or shared taxi heading to Amman, which will drop you off near the Amman Citadel.
Public Transportation
From the center of Mafraq, walk to the nearest bus station, which is located on Al-Ma'een Street. Look for a bus heading to Amman; these buses are frequent and typically leave every 30 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to the Amman Citadel. The journey will take about one hour. Once you arrive in Amman, you can walk to the Amman Citadel by heading southwest on K. Ali Ben Al-Hussein Street for about 15 minutes.
Shared Taxi
Head to the main taxi stand in Mafraq, located near the central bus station. Ask for a shared taxi going to Amman. These taxis will usually leave once they are full, so it may take a little time. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Amman, ask the driver to drop you off near the Amman Citadel, which is located on K. Ali Ben Al-Hussein Street.
