If you are traveling by car, start from any point in the Northern Jordan Valley. Use the main road (Highway 65) heading east towards Al-Azraq. Continue on Highway 65 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Al-Azraq. Once you enter Al-Azraq, follow the signs for Al-Azraq Castle. The castle is located at the coordinates 31.8801682, 36.8273859, which you can enter into your GPS for precise navigation. There is free parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
To reach Al-Azraq Castle using public transportation, first take a bus from any major city in Northern Jordan (like Irbid or Jerash) to Al-Azraq. Buses typically leave from the central bus stations, and the fare is approximately 3-5 JOD. Once you arrive at Al-Azraq, you may need to take a taxi to the castle, as public transport options may be limited. The taxi fare should be around 2-3 JOD for the short ride to the castle.
Walking
If you are already in the town of Al-Azraq, you can walk to Al-Azraq Castle. From the main bus station, head southeast on Al-Azraq Street for about 1.5 kilometers. Follow the signs towards the castle, which will be visible from a distance. The walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the terrain may be uneven in some areas.
