Walking
Start from the Petra Visitor Center. Head towards the Siq, the narrow gorge that leads into Petra. Once you exit the Siq, take a moment to admire the Treasury. From the Treasury, continue walking straight along the main path. You will pass several tombs and monuments on your left and right. Keep walking until you reach the Colonnade Street. At the Colonnade, turn left and follow the path as it curves slightly to the right. You will soon come across the Great Temple. Continue past the Great Temple, and shortly after, you will see signs indicating the route to Al Deir (the Monastery). Follow the signs, and as you approach the area, you'll find the Lion Triclinium on the way to Al Deir, marked by its distinctive lion carvings. It's a short detour off the main path.
