Getting There

From Wadi Rum Village, start at the main visitor center. Head southeast on the main path that leads into Wadi Rum. Follow the well-trodden trail for approximately 30 minutes, which will take you deeper into the desert landscape. Keep an eye out for the towering rock formations on your left and right. After reaching a fork in the path, take the left trail that leads towards the Cleft area. Continue walking for another 20 minutes until you see a distinctive narrow opening in the sandstone cliffs ahead. This is Cleft.
