If you are traveling by car, start by entering your current location into your GPS or mapping app. Set your destination to 640 E Woodson Ave, Lecompton, KS 66050. From major highways like I-70, take the exit for US-40 W toward Lawrence. Continue on US-40 W until you reach the junction with K-10. Merge onto K-10 S and follow the signs for Lecompton. Once you enter the town, turn right onto E Woodson Ave, and Fort Titus will be on your left. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first check the local bus services available in your area. You may need to take a bus to Lawrence, KS, which is the nearest major city. Once in Lawrence, transfer to a regional bus service that heads toward Lecompton. The bus may drop you off near the town center. From there, you can walk approximately 1.5 miles to Fort Titus located at 640 E Woodson Ave. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as service may be limited, especially on weekends.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, ensure your route is safe and bike-friendly. Depart from your location and head towards Lawrence via the available bike paths. Once in Lawrence, follow the route to Lecompton via K-10, which has a bike lane. It’s about a 10-mile ride from Lawrence to Fort Titus. Walking
If you are staying nearby or prefer to walk, you can start from Lecompton’s town center. Head southeast on E Woodson Ave, and walk for about 1.5 miles. Fort Titus will be on your left.
