Turn left on US-50 E and follow the road for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit for I-70 W toward Topeka. Merge onto I-70 W and continue for about 25 miles. Take exit 410A for I-470 S toward Kansas City. After around 10 miles, merge onto US-40 E. Continue on US-40 E for about 8 miles, then take the exit toward US-73 S. Merge onto US-73 S and continue for around 5 miles. Finally, take exit 5 toward 78th St. Turn right onto S 78th St, and the Grinter Place State Historic Site will be on your left (1420 S 78 St, Kansas City, KS 66111). Parking is available on-site.
