Walking
Start at Massachusetts Street, which is the main street in downtown Lawrence. Walk south towards the intersection with 6th Street. Turn left onto 6th Street and continue to walk until you reach the bus stop for the Lawrence Transit System. Take the bus number 11 or 10 towards the South Park area. Get off at the stop near the Lawrence Public Library. From there, head east on 9th Street until you reach Massachusetts Street again. Continue walking east until you reach the intersection with New Hampshire Street. Turn right on New Hampshire Street and walk straight until you reach the intersection with 8th Street. Turn left on 8th Street and follow it down to the end where it meets the Kaw River. The Massachusetts Bay Lines is located at 60 Rowes Wharf, Boston, MA 02110, directly along the waterfront.
Bicycling
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start your journey from the Lawrence Loop Trail. Head towards the downtown area and follow the trail signs. When you reach Massachusetts Street, continue south towards the river. You can bike along the riverfront path which offers scenic views. Follow the path until you see signs for the downtown area, then make your way towards the bus stop at 6th Street, and continue to follow the directions for walking from there to reach Massachusetts Bay Lines.
Public Transportation
From any location in Lawrence, find the nearest Lawrence Transit bus stop. Look for bus route maps and take either the 10 or 11 bus towards downtown. Get off at the stop near the Lawrence Public Library. After exiting the bus, head east on 9th Street and then turn right onto Massachusetts Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with New Hampshire Street. Turn right on New Hampshire Street and head towards 8th Street.
