    If you are in downtown Lawrence, head east on Massachusetts St towards 7th St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 6th St. Turn left on 6th St and walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with New Hampshire St. Turn right on New Hampshire St and walk for another 0.2 miles. This will bring you to the bus station at 9th St and New Hampshire St. From there, take the Bus 11 towards the KU Campus. Get off at the stop on 14th St and Oread Ave. Walk west on Oread Ave until you reach the corner of Essex St. The Salem Athenaeum will be on your left at 337 Essex St.

    From the Lawrence Public Library located at 707 Vermont St, take the Lawrence Transit bus number 6 towards the South Lawrence Trafficway. Get off at the stop at 6th St and Massachusetts St. Transfer to Bus 11 towards the KU Campus and ride for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop on 14th St and Oread Ave. Walk west on Oread Ave until you reach the corner of Essex St, where the Salem Athenaeum is located at 337 Essex St.
