If you are traveling by car from any point in Marais des Cygnes, start by heading north on Main St toward US-50 W. Merge onto US-50 W and continue for about 25 miles. Take the exit toward I-70 W and merge onto I-70 W. Continue on I-70 W for approximately 160 miles. Take exit 157 for US-183 S toward Hays. Continue on US-183 S for about 7 miles. The Fort Hays State Historic Site will be on your left at 1472 US Highway 183 Alt, Hays, KS 67601.
