From the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve visitor center, head southeast on KS-177 S. Continue for approximately 5 miles until you reach the intersection with S 525 Rd. Turn left onto S 525 Rd and continue for about 1 mile. The Kaw Indian Memorial will be located on your right. Parking is available nearby.

Unfortunately, public transportation options are limited in this rural area. However, you can take a taxi or rideshare service from nearby towns like Council Grove. If you're in Council Grove, head south on Main St until you reach KS-177 S. Take KS-177 S for about 3 miles, then turn left onto S 525 Rd. The memorial will be approximately 1 mile down S 525 Rd on your right. Be sure to arrange your ride in advance as options may be sparse.

For those who enjoy biking, you can ride from the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve visitor center. Take the same route as cars, heading southeast on KS-177 S. After about 5 miles, turn left onto S 525 Rd. The memorial will be about 1 mile down the road on your right. Please ensure you wear a helmet and adhere to all traffic laws while biking on the road.
