From Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, head northwest on KS-177 N for approximately 19 miles. Once you reach the intersection with I-70, merge onto I-70 W toward Manhattan. Continue on I-70 W for about 10 miles. Take exit 313 for KS-18 toward Manhattan/Aggieville. Merge onto KS-18 E and continue for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with N 3rd St. Turn left onto N 3rd St and then take the first right onto Oak St. Follow Oak St for approximately 0.5 miles, and you will find Sunset Zoo on your left at 2333 Oak St, Manhattan, KS 66502. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Sunset Zoo via public transportation, first take a taxi or rideshare service from Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve to the nearest bus station, which is in Manhattan. From there, catch the Flint Hills Area Transit bus service (check their schedule for times).
