Walking
If you are starting from downtown Manhattan, head north on 4th Street towards Poyntz Avenue. Turn left onto Poyntz Avenue and continue going west. After about 0.5 miles, take a right onto Claflin Road. Continue on Claflin Road for about 1 mile. The Goodnow House State Historic Site will be on your right at Pioneer Park, located at 2301 Claflin Rd. Look for the entrance to the park, where you'll find signage for the historic site.
Public Transit
To reach Goodnow House via public transit, you can take the Riley County Public Transportation (RCPT) bus. Board the Route 5 bus at the nearest stop in downtown Manhattan. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop near the intersection of Claflin Road and N. 24th Street. From there, walk east along Claflin Road for about 0.3 miles. The Goodnow House will be on your left as you approach Pioneer Park at 2301 Claflin Rd.
