If you are in downtown Topeka, start at the Topeka Performing Arts Center located at 214 SE 8th Ave. Head south on SE 8th Ave towards SE Quincy St. Continue to walk south until you reach SE 10th Ave, and then turn right. Walk west on SE 10th Ave until you reach SW Gage Blvd. Turn left onto SW Gage Blvd and continue south until you see the Kay McFarland Japanese Garden on your right at 635 SW Gage Blvd.

Public Transit (Bus)
Start at the Topeka Transit Center located at 820 SW 6th Ave. Board the bus route that goes south on Gage Blvd. You will need to take bus number 13. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes and listen for the stop at 635 SW Gage Blvd. Disembark at this stop, and you will see the entrance to the Kay McFarland Japanese Garden.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Topeka, near the State Capitol at 300 SW 10th Ave. Head south on SW 10th Ave and turn left onto SW Gage Blvd. Follow SW Gage Blvd south for about 1.5 miles. You will see the Kay McFarland Japanese Garden on your right at 635 SW Gage Blvd. Make sure to use the bike lane where available for safety.
