Getting There

    From Charyn Canyon, head north on the A2 highway. Continue on the A2 for approximately 90 kilometers, which will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. You’ll pass through the town of Tekeli, so you can stop there for any supplies or fuel if needed. After Tekeli, continue following the signs towards Almaty. When you reach the city of Almaty, follow signs for the A2 highway towards Kolsai Lakes National Park. The park entrance is well marked, and you will need to pay an entrance fee at the gate, which is approximately 500 KZT. Keep in mind that the last stretch to the lakes involves driving on a gravel road.
