If you're traveling by car, start from Almaty. Take the A2 highway heading east towards Taldykorgan. As you reach the town of Taldykorgan, switch onto the A351 road towards Charyn Canyon. Follow the signs for Charyn Canyon National Park. Once you arrive at the park entrance, pay the entrance fee (approximately 1000 KZT per person) and continue driving to the designated parking area near the canyon.

To reach Charyn Canyon via public transportation, take a bus from Almaty to the town of Taldykorgan. Buses leave regularly from the Almaty Sayakhat Bus Station. The fare is around 1500 KZT and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Once in Taldykorgan, hire a taxi or look for a shared minivan that goes directly to Charyn Canyon. The taxi fare to the canyon should be around 3000-4000 KZT.
