Car
If you are driving, start from the city of Semey (formerly Semipalatinsk), which is approximately 120 km northwest of Poyushchiy Barkhan. Take the A-2 highway towards the village of Zharminskoye. Continue on this road for about 80 km until you reach the junction with the A-25 road. Turn right onto A-25 and follow the signs for approximately 30 km. Finally, turn left onto a smaller road that leads directly to Poyushchiy Barkhan. Be cautious of unpaved sections as the last few kilometers may have rough terrain. There is no toll fee on these roads.

Public Transportation
To reach Poyushchiy Barkhan by public transport, first travel to Semey. From Semey's central bus station, take a bus heading towards the village of Zharminskoye; the journey takes around 2 hours. Once you arrive at Zharminskoye, you will need to hire a taxi to take you the last 30 km to Poyushchiy Barkhan, as public transport does not reach the site directly. The taxi fare may range from 2000 to 3000 KZT (approximately 4-7 USD), depending on negotiation and the number of passengers.
