Car
If you are traveling by car from Kolsai Lakes National Park, begin by heading west on the main road (A353) towards Almaty. The drive is approximately 300 kilometers and will take about 5-6 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Almaty, follow signs for the city center. Turn onto Zenkov Street, where the Museum of Musical Instruments is located at number 24. Parking may be available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

To reach the Museum of Musical Instruments using public transportation, first take a bus or shared taxi (marshrutka) from Kolsai Lakes National Park to the nearest city, which is usually in the direction of Almaty. The bus ride will take approximately 4-5 hours. Once in Almaty, you can take the metro or a local bus. If using the metro, get off at the 'Abay' station and transfer to bus number 7 or 12, which will take you to Zenkov Street. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop. Make sure to have some tenge (KZ currency) for bus fares.
