From Almaty city center, head southeast on Dostyk Avenue towards Zheltoksan Street. Continue on Dostyk, which will turn into Al-Farabi Avenue. After approximately 4 km, turn left onto Medeu Road (also known as the road to the Medeu Skating Rink). Follow this road for about 15 km until you reach the Medeu area. Once there, keep driving until you see signs for Butakovskoye Ushchel'ye. Park at the designated parking area near the entrance of the gorge. Note that there may be a small parking fee.
