Getting There

Car
From Turgen Gorge, head east on the main road towards the village of Turgen. Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with the A351 highway. Turn left onto A351 and drive for about 30 kilometers. Look for the signs indicating Turgay Plateau. Follow the signs for another 10 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the base of the plateau. Note that a small parking fee may be required.

Take a marshrutka (minibus) from the main bus station in Almaty to the village of Turgen. The journey takes around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Turgen, look for local taxis or rideshare options to take you to the Turgay Plateau. The taxi ride will cost approximately 2000 KZT and take about 30 minutes.
