Car
From any location in the Appalachian Plateau region, you will first need to get to a major highway. If you're near I-75, take it south towards Lexington, KY. Continue on I-75 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach exit 113 for Newtown Pike. Take exit 113 and follow Newtown Pike north. After approximately 3 miles, turn left onto Alumni Drive. The Arboretum will be on your right at 500 Alumni Dr, Lexington, KY 40503. There is free parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you will first need to find a local bus service that can take you to Lexington. The Blue Grass Airport (LEX) has a shuttle service that can connect you to local transit. Once in Lexington, you can take the Lextran bus route 12, which goes directly to the University of Kentucky campus. Exit the bus at the stop on Alumni Drive. The Arboretum is within walking distance from the bus stop. Please check the Lextran website for bus schedules, as fares may vary.
