Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're already on the University of Kentucky campus, the Visitor Center is a short walk away. Start at the center of campus, the Student Center. From there, head south on Rose Street. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach Avenue of Champions. Turn right onto Avenue of Champions and walk for another 0.1 miles. The Visitor Center will be on your left, at 160 Avenue of Champions.

  • Bicycle

    For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a nearby rental station on campus. Start at the Student Center and head south on Rose Street. After about 0.3 miles, turn right onto Avenue of Champions. The Visitor Center will be about 0.1 miles down the road on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow the bike lanes for safety.

  • Public Transportation (Lextran)

    If you are near a Lextran bus stop, you can take the bus to the nearest stop to the Visitor Center. Look for routes that stop at the University of Kentucky. The closest stop is on Avenue of Champions. The fare is $1.00 for a single ride. After getting off the bus, walk about 0.2 miles east along Avenue of Champions, and the Visitor Center will be on your right at 160 Avenue of Champions.
