Getting There

• Car

  From Louisville, KY, take I-65 South for approximately 25 miles. Take exit 117 for KY-245 toward Bardstown/Shepherdsville. Turn left onto KY-245 and continue for about 5 miles. Turn right onto Arboretum Way. Follow the signs to Bernheim Forest and Arboretum. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  There is no direct public transportation to Bernheim Forest and Arboretum. However, you can take a Greyhound bus from Louisville to Shepherdsville. Once in Shepherdsville, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Bernheim Forest, which is approximately 7 miles away from the bus station.   If you are staying nearby and wish to walk, from the nearest residential area in Shepherdsville, it is a roughly 3-mile walk to Bernheim Forest. Head south on KY-61, then turn onto Arboretum Way. Walking may take approximately 1 hour, so ensure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
