Getting There

• Public Transit

  From downtown Bowling Green, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Green River Transit. Take the Route 1 bus heading towards the Western Kentucky University campus. You will need to transfer to Route 3 at the WKU campus. Stay on Route 3 until you reach the stop at the intersection of US-31E and KY-88. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles northeast along KY-88. Follow the road as it curves, and look for signs directing you to the Lincoln Birthplace Memorial, which will be located at 2920 Lincoln Farm Road, White City, KY 42748.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Bowling Green. Start your ride from downtown Bowling Green heading northeast on KY-880. Continue on KY-880 until you reach the intersection with US-31E. Turn left onto US-31E and follow it for about 5 miles. You will need to take a right onto Lincoln Farm Road, where the Lincoln Birthplace Memorial is located. The total distance from downtown is approximately 6 miles, so plan for a 30-minute ride depending on your pace.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, you can start at the Bowling Green Public Library. Head east on E 6th Ave towards Park St. Turn left onto Park St and continue until you reach the intersection with US-31E. Turn right onto US-31E and walk for about 4 miles. After passing through a few small communities, look for Lincoln Farm Road on your left. Follow Lincoln Farm Road for about 1 mile until you reach the Lincoln Birthplace Memorial. This is a long walk, approximately 5 miles from the library, so be prepared with comfortable shoes and water.
