Walking
From the center of Fort Thomas, head south on Fort Thomas Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-27 (also known as Alexandria Pike). Cross US-27 carefully, as it's a busy road, and then continue walking south on US-27. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with 6th Avenue. Turn left onto 6th Avenue and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. At the end of 6th Avenue, you will see the entrance to the Purple People Bridge. The bridge is located at 1 Levee Way, Newport, KY 41071.

From Fort Thomas, walk to the nearest bus stop on Fort Thomas Avenue and catch the TANK bus route 1 (Cincinnati to Newport). Ride the bus towards Newport for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop near the Newport Pavilion. From the bus stop, walk towards the Ohio River, heading east until you reach the intersection with 1 Levee Way. The Purple People Bridge will be directly ahead, across the road.
