Getting There

• Bicycle

  Starting from downtown Henderson, head south on Main Street towards East 2nd Street. Turn right onto East 2nd Street and continue until you reach the intersection with North Green Street. Turn left onto North Green Street and follow it as it curves to the right and becomes East 4th Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with South Alvasia Street. Turn right onto South Alvasia Street. After about a mile, you will see signs directing you to Green River State Forest. Follow the signs, which will lead you to the entrance.

• Walking

  From the center of Henderson, walk south on Main Street until you reach East 2nd Street. Turn right and continue walking until you reach North Green Street. Turn left and walk down North Green Street, which will eventually curve into East 4th Street. Continue straight until you reach South Alvasia Street, then turn right. Follow the signs to Green River State Forest; it's about a mile walk from this point.

• Public Transit

  Although there are no direct public transit routes to Green River State Forest, you can take a local bus towards the nearest major stop. Start by taking the bus from downtown Henderson towards the nearest transit hub. From there, you can use a rideshare service or ask the bus driver for information about the next available bus or shuttle that may take you closer to Green River State Forest.
