From any point in the Knobs Region, head towards US-60 E. If you're starting from Clay City, take Main Street to reach US-60. Once on US-60 E, drive for approximately 3 miles until you reach the intersection with KY-11. Turn left onto KY-11 N and continue for about 4 miles. You will see signs for Pilot Knob on the right. Follow the signs to the parking area at the base of the Knob. Note that there may be a small parking fee of around $5.
