Public Transit
If you are near downtown Louisville, you can take the TARC bus. Catch the TARC Route 1 (the Main Street Line) from any downtown stop. Ride the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes, and get off at the intersection of Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway. From there, transfer to TARC Route 31 (the Douglass Loop) and ride for another 10 minutes until you reach the stop at Cochran Hill Road. Cherokee Park will be a short walk from the bus stop. Follow Cochran Hill Road to the entrance of the park.
Walking
If you are staying in the Highlands area, you can walk to Cherokee Park. Start at the corner of Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway. Head south on Bardstown Road and then take a left onto Eastern Parkway. Continue walking until you reach Cherokee Park, approximately a 30-minute walk. The park entrance is located at 745 Cochran Hill Rd.
Biking
For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs available in downtown Louisville. Head towards Bardstown Road and ride north. Follow signs for the scenic route through the parkway to reach Cherokee Park. It will take about 20-25 minutes to bike there, depending on your starting point. Once you reach Cochran Hill Road, follow it to the park entrance at 745 Cochran Hill Rd.
