Getting There

• Public Transit - Bus

  To reach the Louisville Mega Cavern at 1841 Taylor Ave, start by locating the nearest TARC (Transit Authority of River City) bus stop. If you are near downtown Louisville, you can catch the #23 bus (Poplar Level) from the Jefferson Street Station. Board the bus and enjoy the ride for approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Poplar Level Road & Taylor Ave stop, disembark and head east on Taylor Ave for about 0.3 miles until you reach the entrance of the Mega Cavern.

• Bike Share

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the city's bike share stations. Start at a nearby station and head southeast on the Louisville Loop towards Poplar Level Road. Continue on the Loop until you reach Taylor Ave. Turn right onto Taylor Ave, and after about 0.5 miles, you will find the Louisville Mega Cavern on your left. Make sure to check the bike return locations near the cavern.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Poplar Level neighborhood, you can walk to the Louisville Mega Cavern. From the intersection of Poplar Level Road and Taylor Ave, head east on Taylor Ave for about 0.5 miles. The cavern will be on your left. Be aware of your surroundings and follow the sidewalk for a safe and pleasant walk.

  For a more direct route, consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply input 'Louisville Mega Cavern' as your destination. If you are in the downtown area, the ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you are picked up in a safe and visible area to avoid any confusion.
