Getting There

  If you are driving from anywhere in Outer Bluegrass, head southeast on your main road toward US-62. Once you reach US-62, turn right (east) and continue for about 10 miles. The Bill Monroe Homeplace will be on your left at 6210 US-62 East, Beaver Dam, KY 42320. Look for the sign indicating the Homeplace, as it may be easy to miss while driving.

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus services to see if there are routes that go towards Beaver Dam. As there may not be a direct route to the Homeplace, you may need to take a bus to a nearby city, such as Owensboro, and then use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) or a local taxi to reach the Bill Monroe Homeplace. Expect to spend around $20-$30 for the rideshare or taxi fare from Owensboro to the Homeplace.

  If you're feeling adventurous and are staying close to Beaver Dam, you could bike or walk to the Bill Monroe Homeplace. From the center of Beaver Dam, head east on Main St until you reach US-62.
