Getting There

Public Transit
Start at the Frankfort Transit Center located at 100 W Main St, Frankfort, KY. Take the Route 1 bus towards the Frankfort Walmart. Get off at the stop at Leestown Road and Germany Road (approximately 20 minutes ride). From the bus stop, walk northwest on Leestown Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach Germany Road. Turn left onto Germany Road and continue walking for another 0.3 miles. Buckley Wildlife Sanctuary will be on your right at 1305 Germany Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601.

Walking
If you are near the Frankfort Riverwalk, start walking southwest on the Riverwalk until you reach the intersection of Bridge St and Main St. Turn left on Main St and continue until you reach the Frankfort Transit Center, then follow the public transit guidance. Alternatively, if you are close to the Kentucky State Capitol, head northeast on Capitol Ave towards Main St, then proceed to the Frankfort Transit Center and take the Route 1 bus as described previously.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Frankfort Riverwalk. Ride northwest along the river until you join the road heading towards Main St. From there, follow Main St to the Frankfort Transit Center.
