If you are traveling by car, start by heading south on your nearest major road towards I-64 E. Merge onto I-64 E and continue for approximately 5 miles. Take exit 8 to merge onto I-264 S towards Asheville. Stay on I-264 S for about 4 miles, then take exit 27 for US-60 W toward Shelbyville Rd. Continue on US-60 W for about 2 miles, then turn left onto Apache Rd. The Zachary Taylor House will be on your right at 5608 Apache Rd, Louisville, KY 40207. Parking is available on-site.

Take the TARC bus #23 (Bardstown Road) or bus #29 (Mid City) to the nearest transfer point, which is the TARC Transit Center. From there, transfer to bus #21 (Shelbyville Road) and ride it toward the east. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Shelbyville Rd and Apache Rd. From there, it is approximately a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles) to the Zachary Taylor House. Head south on Apache Rd, and the house will be on your left at 5608 Apache Rd.
