Car
If you are driving from the town of Nakuru, take the A104 highway heading north. Continue for approximately 100 kilometers until you reach the junction at Marigat. Turn left onto the B4 road and follow the signs for Lake Baringo. After about 20 kilometers on the B4, you will reach the lake's entrance, where you can park your car. Be prepared for some rough patches on the road, and ensure you have enough fuel before starting your journey.
Public Transportation (Matatu)
From Nakuru, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) to Marigat. The fare is approximately 300 KES. Once you arrive in Marigat, look for another matatu heading to Lake Baringo. This leg of the journey should cost around 100 KES and take about 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the main entrance to Lake Baringo. Be sure to confirm the fare and the right matatu before boarding.
Boat
Upon reaching Lake Baringo, if you wish to explore the lake further, you can hire a boat. There are local operators near the lake who offer boat rides. Prices typically start around 1500 KES for a short trip, but this can vary based on the duration and type of the boat. Ensure you negotiate the price beforehand, and ask about safety equipment.
