Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you're near Diani Beach, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops along the beach. Head north along the beach road towards Ukunda. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at the junction with the Mombasa - Malindi Road. Take a left onto the Mombasa - Malindi Road and cycle for about 10 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Mtwapa as you approach the area. Motown Mall will be on your left.

  • Walking

    For those who enjoy walking, start from your accommodation in Diani Beach and head towards the main road (Diani Beach Road). Walk north along Diani Beach Road until you reach the intersection with Mombasa - Malindi Road. Turn left onto Mombasa - Malindi Road and continue walking for about 10 kilometers. As you approach Mtwapa, look for signs for Motown Mall on your left. It may take approximately 2-3 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.

  • Matatu (Shared Taxi)

    To reach Motown Mall by Matatu, head to the nearest Matatu stage in Diani Beach, usually located near the main road. Look for Matatus heading towards Mtwapa or Mombasa. Board a Matatu and tell the driver your destination is Mtwapa. The fare is very affordable. Once you arrive at Mtwapa, ask the driver to drop you off near Motown Mall. After disembarking, the mall will be a short walk away, just ask locals for directions if needed.
