Getting there

Car

If you're driving from Mombasa, head north on the Mombasa-Malindi Highway (A14). After approximately 15 km, take the exit towards Mtwapa. Follow signs to Mtwapa Creek, which is about 5 km from the highway exit. You will pass through Mtwapa town. Once you reach Mtwapa, follow the road signs towards the creek, which is located near the coast. There is ample parking available near the creek.

Public Transportation (Matatu)

From Mombasa, head to the Mwembe Tayari bus terminal. Look for a matatu heading to Mtwapa. The fare should be around 50-100 Kenyan Shillings (KES). The matatu will drop you off at a central point in Mtwapa town. From there, you can either walk or take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to Mtwapa Creek, which is about 2 km away. The boda boda fare should be approximately 50 KES.

Taxi

You can hire a taxi from Mombasa directly to Mtwapa Creek. The drive will take around 30 minutes, and the fare typically ranges from 1000 to 1500 KES, depending on traffic and negotiation. Ensure that the taxi is registered and confirm the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will take you directly to the creek, where you can enjoy the views.
