From Diani Beach, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start by cycling south along the Diani Beach Road until you reach the main road junction. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Wasini Island. Follow the signs directing you towards Wasini Island, which will take you through lush scenery. Once you reach the Wasini Island ferry dock, park your bicycle securely and board the ferry to Wasini Island. The boardwalk is a short walk from the ferry landing.

Walking to the Ferry Dock
If you prefer to walk, start from your accommodation in Diani Beach and head towards the Diani Beach Road. Walk south along the road until you come to the main junction. From there, you’ll need to walk approximately 4 kilometers to the Wasini Island ferry dock. Follow the signs along the way. Once at the ferry dock, buy your ticket and take the ferry to Wasini Island. After disembarking, the Wasini Island Boardwalk will be a short stroll away.

Public Transportation (Matatu)
To reach Wasini Island Boardwalk using public transport, find a matatu (shared minibus) that is heading towards Ukunda or Shimoni. Board the matatu and inform the driver you are going to Shimoni. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Shimoni, follow the signs to the ferry dock. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Wasini Island. After reaching Wasini Island, the boardwalk is a brief walk from the ferry landing.
