Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Embu town. Head northwest on the Embu-Meru road (A2). Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for the Meru-Nairobi road (A2). Take a right turn at the junction and continue for about 15 kilometers until you see signs for Ruri Hills. Follow the signs, and you will find the access road leading towards Ruri Hills. Please note that some roads may be unpaved, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

To reach Ruri Hills using public transportation, first take a matatu (shared taxi) from Embu town to Meru. The fare is approximately 100 KES and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Meru town, transfer to another matatu heading towards Ruri Hills or inquire for a matatu that goes to the nearby villages. The fare for this leg is about 50 KES, and it may take another 30-45 minutes depending on the road conditions. Be sure to ask the driver or locals for the best stop to get off near Ruri Hills.
