    If you are driving from Elgeyo Escarpment, start by heading south on the A104 road towards Mavuria. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction to Mavuria. Take a left turn at the junction onto the road leading to Mavuria. Drive for another 7 kilometers, and you will find the entrance to Mwea National Reserve on your right. Ensure you have some cash on hand for the entry fee, which is approximately 500 KES for locals and 1,000 KES for non-residents.

    To reach Mwea National Reserve via public transport, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Elgeyo Escarpment to Eldoret. Once in Eldoret, transfer to a matatu heading to Mavuria. The journey from Eldoret to Mavuria takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Mavuria, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) or walk approximately 7 kilometers to the entrance of Mwea National Reserve. Keep some money ready for the matatu fare, which is around 150 KES from Eldoret to Mavuria, plus the cost of the boda-boda, which may range from 200 to 300 KES.
