If you are traveling by car, start from Eldoret town, which is a central hub in the Elgeyo Escarpment region. Head east on the Eldoret-Kapsowar Road (A104) for about 22 kilometers. Look for signage towards Lessos. After reaching Lessos, continue on the Unnamed Road for approximately 4 kilometers until you reach the coordinates 0.1166069 latitude and 35.3064339 longitude, where Ngabunat Cave is located. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rural roads as some sections might be uneven.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Eldoret to Lessos. The fare is approximately 100 KES and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lessos, you can hire a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to Ngabunat Cave. The boda boda ride should cost around 200-300 KES and will take about 15 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.

If you are already in the vicinity of Lessos, you can walk to Ngabunat Cave. From the town center, head east on the Unnamed Road for about 4 kilometers. The path may be a bit rough, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as it can be a trek under the sun.
