Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car from Moshi, take the A23 highway towards Nairobi. After about 70 km, turn onto the C72 road towards Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park. Follow the road for about 15 km until you reach the park entrance. There is an entry fee of approximately 20 USD for non-residents. After entering the park, continue driving for about 7 km until you reach the designated parking area. From there, you will need to hike the remaining 2 km up to the summit of Mt. Kilimambogo.

Public Transportation
To reach Mt. Kilimambogo using public transportation, start by taking a matatu (shared taxi) from Moshi to Nairobi. This journey will take about 2 hours. Once in Nairobi, board another matatu heading towards Kangundo or Machakos. Alight at the junction for Ol Donyo Sabuk National Park. From this point, you can hire a taxi to take you the remaining 10 km to the park entrance. Be prepared to pay the park entrance fee of approximately 20 USD. After entering the park, continue as above to hike to the summit.
