If you are traveling by car from Kitui Plains, start by heading northwest on the A3 road towards Nanyuki. Follow the A3 for approximately 100 kilometers, passing through towns such as Mutomo and Ikutha. Once you reach Nanyuki, look for signs directing you to the Equator Marker, which is located at coordinates -0.0002848, 37.0702782. The marker is situated just off the main road, making it easily accessible. There are no entrance fees to visit the marker.

To reach the Equator Marker using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) from Kitui to Nanyuki. The journey will take about 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Nanyuki, you can either take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or walk towards the Equator Marker, which is approximately 3 kilometers from the matatu stage. It's advisable to negotiate the fare with the boda boda rider before starting your journey. There are no fees to access the Equator Marker itself.
