Car
If you are travelling by car to Mount Kenya Hike, you can start by driving on Nanyuki-Nyeri Road towards Naro Moru. Once you reach Naro Moru town, follow the signs towards the Mount Kenya National Park gate. From the gate, continue driving on the dirt road until you reach the designated parking area for hikers. Make sure to pay the entrance fees at the gate before proceeding.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared minibus) from Nanyuki town to Naro Moru. Once in Naro Moru, you can hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or a taxi to take you to the Mount Kenya National Park gate. From there, you can either hike to the Mount Kenya Hike starting point or arrange for a local guide to take you there.
