For those using public transportation, you can take a matatu (shared minibus) from Nakuru to Mukuyuni. These matatus depart regularly from the Nakuru bus station. The journey takes around 1-2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Mukuyuni, you can either walk to Captain's Well, which is about a 20-minute walk from the town center, or you can hire a local boda boda (motorcycle taxi) for a quicker trip. Be sure to agree on a fare before starting your ride. The approximate cost for the boda boda should be around 100 to 200 Kenyan Shillings.
