If you are in the heart of Lamu town, head towards the waterfront along the main narrow streets. Walk towards the Lamu Fort, a well-known landmark. From the Lamu Fort, continue straight along the main street until you reach the intersection with Faza Kenyatta Road. Turn left onto Faza Kenyatta Road and continue walking. The Lamu Museum will be on your right side, just a short walk from the intersection.
Boat
If you are staying in one of the nearby islands or villages, you can take a traditional dhow or motorboat to Lamu town. Once you arrive at the main jetty in Lamu, disembark and walk towards the Lamu Fort. From the Fort, follow the main street until you reach the intersection with Faza Kenyatta Road. Turn left onto Faza Kenyatta Road, and the Lamu Museum will be on your right.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Lamu town. Start at the main square and cycle towards the Lamu Fort. Once you reach the Fort, continue down the main street until you reach the intersection with Faza Kenyatta Road. Turn left onto Faza Kenyatta Road, and the Lamu Museum will be located on your right after a short distance.
